HUI Xin (nato nel 1977 nello Xinjiang, Cina) è un artista contemporaneo cinese attualmente basato a Chongqing. Si è laureato nel 2003 presso il Sichuan Fine Arts Institute, una delle più importanti accademie d’arte della Cina, dove ha sviluppato una pratica pittorica personale che lo ha portato a distinguersi nel panorama artistico contemporaneo.
Tra i pochi artisti cinesi riconosciuti per l’uso della tecnica dell’aerografo, HUI Xin costruisce immagini di forte impatto visivo, caratterizzate da superfici levigate, atmosfere sospese e una raffinata attenzione alla luce e alla resa pittorica. La sua ricerca si muove tra rappresentazione e immaginario, esplorando temi legati alla percezione, alla memoria e alla costruzione dell’immagine nel contesto contemporaneo.
Nel corso della sua carriera ha partecipato a numerose mostre personali e collettive in Asia e in Europa. Le sue mostre personali includono, tra le altre, “Splendour of Gold” (Singapore, 2004), “Other Intentions” (Beijing, Singapore, Jakarta, 2007), “Paramount” (2009) e “Beauty in the Eyes of the Beholder” (Hong Kong, 2013).
Ha inoltre esposto in importanti istituzioni e gallerie internazionali, tra cui il Shanghai Art Museum, il Today Art Museum di Pechino e la Marella Gallery di Milano, partecipando a rassegne e biennali che ne hanno consolidato la presenza sulla scena dell’arte contemporanea cinese e internazionale.
